How is this program run?

What will I do?

As a student eperience assistant you will assist in the delivery of the volunteering programs run by UOW Pulse.

You will work closely with and lead a small group of Pulse volunteers.

Your main responsibilities will be to foster relationships with volunteers to instil a sense of community, engagement, connection and inclusivity.

You will have creative input into volunteer and student engagement opportunities and gain firsthand experience organising volunteers for events both on and off campus. You will be an advocate for the UniLife volunteering program and develop exciting ways to promote opportunities to existing and potential student volunteers at UOW.

Volunteering comprises several exciting programs tailored to suit all interests! As a student experience assistant you will be an ambassador for the programs and lead a small group of volunteers during events, Workshops and activities.

Are there any special requirements for this role?

You must be a current UOW student. Experience as a volunteer is preferred.


Minimum requirements for UOWx recognition

To receive UOWx recognition, you must complete the following:

  • An "engaged" student will need to complete a minimum of 20 hours within a calendar year
  • A "highly engaged" student will need to complete a minimum of 60 hours within a calendar year
