Spring Census date is Monday, 31 August. This is your last chance to:
1. Pay your fees upfront:

- Tuition fees are due by Monday, 31 August .
- Student Services and Amenities Fee (SSAF) are due by Tuesday, 1 September.
- Domestic students who are not eligible to defer their fees to a HELP Loan must pay their tuition upfront by Monday, 31 August.
- Domestic students who are currently deferring their fees to a HELP Loan but want to pay their fees upfront must ensure the billing type is set to ‘Upfront’ in SOLS.
- International students on an approved instalment plan must pay the first instalment and administrative fee by this date.
2. Defer your fees to your HELP Loan (domestic students only):

- To defer your tuition fees and SSAF payment to your HELP Loan, update your billing type by Monday, 31 August.
- Go into SOLS and select 'Fees' > 'Commonwealth Assistance' > 'Maintain'.
3. Provide your Unique Student Identifier (USI) to UOW:

- You are required to provide your USI if you are a domestic student in a Commonwealth Supported Place (CSP) and/or accessing a HELP Loan (HECS/FEE/SA/OS/VET HELP). See more information about USI requirements for international, offshore and non-award.
4. Check your assessments:

- Review your subject outlines to understand all assessment requirements, including end of session (final) exams.
5. Withdraw From a subject (without fees):
Withdraw before Monday, 31 August to:

- Avoid tuition fees.
- Have the subject removed from your record.
If your course includes a major or specialisation and you haven’t declared it yet, be sure to check the UOW Handbook for available majors before Census date.
If you withdraw from a subject after Monday, 31 August, you will be financially liable for tuition fees.
Important notes
Centrelink recipients: Withdrawing from subjects may impact your payments if study load requirements aren't met.
International students:

- Check your visa requirements.
- Speak with the AskUOW team before withdrawing from a subject.
- Must have a Leave of Absence or Reduced Study Load approved prior to withdrawing from subjects.
If you withdraw from all of your subjects:

- Apply for a Leave of Absence.
- If you have not yet completed one full session of study, submit the online Deferral Application instead. This will prevent your enrolment from being lapsed or discontinued.
