October is Cyber Security Awareness Month, a chance for all Australians to come together at home and at work to have a shared conversation about how we protect our information and devices from online threats.
This year, we’re focusing on protecting your information and UOW’s, and we’re deeply committed to safeguarding the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the data entrusted to us.
Throughout October, we’ll be sharing practical tips to help you and your loved ones stay safe online by minimising the risk of identity theft, scams, and phishing, and empowering you to take simple, proactive steps toward digital security.
Information Security Framework
As part of Cyber Security Awareness Month, we’re launching an Information Security Framework of policies, processes and controls aligned to international standards and regulations that will strengthen our cybersecurity level.
The framework applies to everyone who uses UOW technology including staff, students, affiliates, suppliers, and partners across all our campuses, offices, and entities in Australia and overseas.
Protecting our information is critical to creating a safe and trusted environment for learning, research and collaboration and it is crucial that we safeguard our information and prevent data breaches.
