Managing research data

The Australian Code for the Responsible Conduct of Research outlines the roles and responsibilities of institutions and researchers to uphold the principles of responsible research conduct, including the appropriate management of research data.

The University of Wollongong (UOW) encourages researchers to manage their research data in accordance with the following principles.

UOW’s Research Data Management Policy and Guidelines provide a framework for best practice research data management, with tools and training designed to support researchers and encourage compliance.

The safe sharing of research data assets and making datasets publicly available enables UOW to fully participate in global and cross-sector collaboration, increasing our strategic engagement with our industry partners, peers and communities.

Maximising opportunities to use and re-use research data will enhance collaboration, facilitate the translation of research, create opportunities for growth, and ensure that public-funded research makes a positive difference for our communities.
