Optus data breach

Associate Professor Shahriar Akter can talk about the Optus data breach and online privacy issues. Associate Professor Akter is an expert in artificial intelligence and algorithmic bias, data privacy, and digital innovation. He is an Associate Professor of Digital Marketing, Analytics and Innovation and the Associate Dean of Research in the Faculty of Business and Law.

Devaluation of the British pound

Dr Paul Mazzola is a banking and finance expert who can talk about the devaluation of the British pound. Dr Mazzola is a lecturer in banking and finance in the Faculty of Business and Law and has more than 25 years’ banking and finance experience in the Australian, European and Asian pacific markets. He recently published a book that explores the power and greed behind the global financial crisis.

Meat Free Week (25 September - 1 October 2022) 

Professor Karen Charlton says there are many benefits to eating a meat-free or flexitarian diet, including saving money on your weekly grocery shop. Professor Charlton also believes we need to be eating smarter to feed a growing population and preserve fragile ecosystems. Professor Charlton is a research dietician in the School of Medical, Indigenous and Health Sciences.
