MOBILE PHONE DETECTION CAMERAS IN NEW SOUTH WALES

Dr Adam Lucas is available for interviews about the rollout of mobile phone detection cameras to catch motorists using their phone while driving. Dr Lucas questions how the new legislation will deal with complicated issues like using the map function, listening to music or making calls while the phone is in a cradle or while drivers are stationary at traffic lights. Dr Lucas is a Senior Lecturer in Science and Technology Studies in the School of Humanities and Social Inquiry.


WEST PAPUA PROTESTS

Dr Cammi Web-Gannon can provide commentary on the current situation in West Papua. Dr Webb-Gannon is an early career researcher and decolonisation ethnographer focusing on the Pacific Islands region with a long-term interest in West Papua’s independence movement. She recently wrote about the riots in West Papua for The Conversation.

Professor Charles Areni can speak about Instagram's first Australian marketing campaign - Get Into What You Heart. Prof Areni is the Executive Dean of the Faculty of Business and a Professor of Marketing.


BREXIT

Associate Professor Markus Wagner can provide comment on the impact of Brexit on the international trade and investment landscape for the UK. Assoc Prof Wagner is an expert in international economic law, international law and US constitutional law. He is an Associate Professor in the School of Law.


WAGE THEFT

Dr Betty Frino is available to talk about wage theft by employers and who’s most at risk. Dr Frino is a Lecturer in the School of Management, Operations and Marketing. You can watch her speaking about wage theft here.


UN CLIMATE ACTION SUMMIT

Dr Adam Lucas can provide comment about the UN Climate Action Summit. Dr Lucas’ research focuses on energy policy response to climate change and the peaking of world oil, coal and gas production. He is a Senior Lecturer in Science and Technology Studies in the School of Humanities and Social Inquiry.


US – CHINA TRADE TALKS
