WORLD REFUGEE DAY – THURSDAY 20 JUNE

Associate Professor Phil Orchard is a Lecturer of International Relations. Assoc Prof Orchard is available for media interviews about World Refugee Day. He can also speak about the UN annual report on refugees which is due to be released on Tuesday 18 June.

 

APRA ISSUING NEW LICENSE CONDITIONS ON AMP SUPER

Dr Andy Schmulow is available for interviews this week about APRA issuing new license conditions on AMP Super amid ongoing concerns over the company’s management. Dr Schmulow is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Law.

 

FINAL APPROVAL OF ADANI'S CARMICHAEL MINE

Dr Adam Lucas is available to speak to media about the final approval of Adani’s Carmichael mine and infrastructure project. Dr Lucas is a Senior Lecturer in Science and Technology Studies in the School of Humanities and Social Inquiry. 

 

US EXTRADITION ATTEMPT OF JULIAN ASSANGE

Dr Steinar Ellingsen can comment on the US extradition attempt of Julian Assange. Dr Ellingsen is a Senior Lecturer in Journalism, Communication and Media.

 

INTERNATIONAL RESEARCH REGARDING RED MEAT INTAKE

Professor Linda Tapsell is available for comment this week on a recent study by US and Chinese researchers (not UOW research) that found stepping up your red meat intake could be a step closer to the grave. Professor Tapsell is from the Faculty of Science, Medicine and Health.
