Knowledge Exchange Network (Asia)

Over the coming decades society will face many challenges and transformations in the way we live. The University of Wollongong's Global Challenges Program recognises the interconnected nature of these transformations and is launching a Global Challenges Knowledge Exchange Network (Asia), which will support the exchange of knowledge between UOW researchers in Australia and their counterparts’ campuses across Asia.

The Global Challenges Knowledge Exchange Network (Asia) will enable international collaboration between researchers in Malaysia with Australia.

This exchange network provides opportunities for researchers to come together from different regions and disciplines to exchange knowledge in their areas of expertise and build relationships, ideas and research collaborations.

In 2020, up to eight scholarships will be awarded. With a strong commitment to gender equity and leadership development, women and early career researhers are strongly encouraged to apply.

Applications will be assessed by the following criteria:

  • Strength of the applicant/host and potential for meaningful collaboration
  • Scope of the travel and level of engagement/activity planned
  • How the scholarship could develop a research collaboration that addresses one of the Global Challenges

Applications will open in early 2020.
