What is the UOW Futures Fund?

The UOW Futures Fund is a permanent endowment established to secure, strengthen, and shape the long-term future of the University of Wollongong.

Gifts to the Fund are invested in perpetuity. Your contribution will be invested for long-term growth, creating a sustainable and expanding source of income that benefits future generations

Each year:

  • Investment returns fund University priorities while also helping grow the endowment for the future.
  • The remainder is reinvested to grow the Fund.
  • The original capital remains intact and grows overtime.

Accountability and lasting impact

UOW Futures Fund Advisory Board

The UOW Futures Fund has been established with its own governance framework, the UOW Futures Fund Advisory Board, to ensure the Fund is managed with transparency and purpose.

The Board is made up of internal and external members whose role is to ensure that the Fund acts as a vehicle in support of the University’s mission, transforming philanthropic contributions into long-term sustainable funding with valued impact. It provides oversight to ensure that the Fund respects and follows donor intentions, aligns with University’s strategic priorities, and the investment strategy aligns with the Fund’s long-term strategic objectives.
