Entry requirements

Entry requirements to study at UOW

Each UOW course has a set of entry requirements that you must meet before you can enrol. This includes both academic requirements and skills in English.

The entry requirements for each UOW course may be found each course information page on Course Finder – look for the ‘International students’ tab under the ‘Admission, Key dates, and Fees’ heading.

English requirements

You must be able to demonstrate skills in English to satisfy course entry requirements. UOW accepts results in major international English tests, including IELTS, TOEFL, Pearsons, Cambridge, and OET. Previous study in English may also be accepted.

For further information about English requirements and English courses, visit English Language Requirements.

Credit for prior learning

Study that you have already completed may count as credit towards your UOW degree. This could reduce the length and cost of your course.

UOW has arrangements with many overseas institutions that may allow you to reduce the time it will take to complete your degree. Not all UOW courses are eligible – please see the course information on Course Finder.

For information about our credit arrangements, visit Credit for Prior Learning.
