In today’s rapidly changing job market, Arts and Humanities graduates face both exciting opportunities and real challenges. Many UOW students in Arts and Humanities lack clear information about career pathways and connections with employers who value their skills.
On March 13, 2026, the School of Liberal Arts will host a high-profile panel event featuring five distinguished professionals from diverse industries, tailored specifically for Arts and Humanities students. Confirmed panellists include:
- The CEO of a leading management consultancy firm with offices in Sydney and Melbourne, with extensive experience across the corporate sector and government agencies
- A team leader in the Australian Federal Government’s Department of Home Affairs who holds a BA and PhD in Ancient History and now oversees asylum claims
- A University of Sydney bioethics philosopher with experience in UN-led global health initiatives
- Two recent Liberal Arts graduates who are thriving in corporate law and medical school.
The panellists will share insights, career journeys, and practical advice on how students can leverage their studies to access roles in government, business, academia, and the creative industries.
This event has been generously funded by SSAF.
