Woolyungah Indigenous Success Fund

UOW is committed to valuing the knowledge and experience of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples past and present in all matters, especially those affecting Country. We strive to be an institution that champions Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander contribution and celebrates, instils, and supports culture. The Woolyungah Indigenous Centre (WIC) is the primary driver and provider of all Indigenous retention, recruitment, and completion strategies for UOW.

WIC is committed to increasing the participation and engagement of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples at UOW, by providing programs, services and facilities that encourage and support Indigenous Australians from entry to university, through to successful completion.

In support of this, we have established the Woolyungah Indigenous Student Success Fund to propel philanthropic support for Indigenous students at UOW and allocate it to where the needs are greatest. At present, this is determined to be the Higher Degree Research Cultural Mentoring Program and the Woolyungah Student Leader Indigenous Scholarship. For more information on supporting this fund, please contact UOW Giving.
