How is this workshop running?

These seminars are running in-person.


What is involved?

The participant will be actively involved in discussions around recognising and intervening when they witness problematic behaviour in varying contexts. Participants will practically apply the bystander approach and framework to real life examples and feel empowered to find a bystander option that feels safe and appropriate to them in every circumstance.


How do I benefit?

Through completing this workshop, you will:

  • Discover your personal leadership and how to promote gender equality.
  • Learn the bystander intervention framework, giving you hundreds of options as a bystander in any situation.
  • Learn what drives violence against women and what you can do to prevent it in your everyday life.

Minimum requirements for UOWx recognition

To receive UOWx Recognition, you must complete the following:

  • An "engaged" student will need to attend the workshop
  • A "highly engaged" student will need to attend the workshop and complete a reflective piece
