Project Description
Receive up to $25,000 to support a three-month international research internship at the Center for Neurotechnology and NeuroRecovery, Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston.
Industry: Technology
Study area: Computer Science & Information Technology, Engineering, Environmental & Biological Science, Health
Partner: Movement Disorder Foundation
Suburb: Boston, USA
Why:
The Movement Disorder Foundation PhD Scholarship provides an outstanding University of Wollongong PhD student with the opportunity to undertake a three-month research internship at the Center for Neurotechnology and NeuroRecovery (CNTR), based at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, USA.
One scholarship will be awarded each year for the next three years.
The 2027 internship is anticipated to take place between June and September, with exact dates determined based on mutual availability.
The successful student will be embedded within CNTR research teams and contribute to ongoing work at the intersection of neuroscience, engineering and clinical neurorecovery. The internship provides hands-on research experience within an active neurotechnology and clinical neuroscience environment.
About the Center for Neurotechnology and NeuroRecovery:
The CNTR at Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, is a leading multidisciplinary research centre bringing together clinicians, neuroscientists and engineers to develop and test innovative technologies that improve care and recovery for people with neurological conditions. Its research spans neural interfaces, brain-computer interfaces, neurophysiology and advanced computational approaches, translating scientific discoveries into potential clinical applications. The Centre offers an exciting environment for PhD students seeking to contribute to cutting-edge, clinically relevant neurotechnology research.
