UOW accommodation project reaches new heights

Construction is well underway at UOW with stage one and two of the new accommodation residences taking shape on campus.

Opening in time for the 2017 academic year, stage one of the accommodation project involves a new +250 bed mature student residence on the Northfields precinct. The structure of the building has topped out and work has begun on the internal fitout and façade.

Stage two comprises 800 beds for undergraduate students, housed within a complex of three buildings, and is due for completion prior to the start of the 2018 academic year.

Located at the western end of the campus in the Kooloobong precinct, the complex promises to provide an exciting new energy to the campus. Building works have commenced on the site, with two tower cranes installed to aid construction.

UOW currently owns and operates nine accommodation facilities, with the new complexes bringing the total number of student beds to more than 2,500.

In 2014 the University entered into a long-term licence agreement with Living + Learning Partners for the student accommodation portfolio.
