A senior delegation from China’s Beijing Jiaotong University (BJTU), led by the Chairman Mr CAO Guoyong, visited UOW on 24 March to sign an agreement for course articulation in Computer Science.

Discussion between UOW Vice-Chancellor Professor Paul Wellings and Chairman Mr Cao highlighted a series of opportunities to further the collaboration -- particularly in high speed rail.

BJTU and UOW explored their joint strengths in research and teaching in engineering, high speed railway, information security and logistics.  The visit facilitated discussion on the next steps including sending UOW undergraduate students to China.

The agreement builds on the successful undergraduate international degree program, the Bachelor of Engineering majoring in Mechatronics, which began at BJTU September 2014.  Currently UOW is hosting BJTU staff on joint technical research and exchange of international programs.
