This session will provide an overview of copyright fundamentals for researchers, including author rights, copyright considerations in publishing and the use of generative AI in research. We will explore how copyright applies across the research lifecycle, practical considerations when using AI tools for literature searching, reading, analysis, note-taking, data collection and content creation, and what researchers need to know about copyright, licensing and responsible use.

When: Wednesday, 4 November 2026, 11.00am-12.00pm (AEDT), via Microsoft Teams
Open to: Researchers, HDR candidates and professional staff
