Authoring Practices in the Age of AI (HDR Workshop)


Participants will consider how to use AI responsibly, while preserving a strong, authentic authorial voice and engaging critically with disciplinary knowledge.

By the end of this workshop, you will be able to:

  • Identify how AI affects writing style, structure, and source use.
  • Distinguish between human and AI-assisted writing and their implications for author identity.
  • Reflect on the ethical use of AI in academic writing.
  • Use AI tools strategically without compromising authorship or critical thinking.
