MEET THE PANEL

Tom Curran
Senior Policy Officer - Office of the Pacific
Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade

Upon graduation, Tom was awarded the prestigious 2017 Robert Hope Memorial Prize for exceptional academic performance, outstanding leadership, and significant community contributions. He joined the Department of Infrastructure and Regional Development as a graduate and has since worked in a range of roles across the Australian Public Service, including as a Research Officer with the Senate Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs, Defence and Trade, and as a Senior International Policy Officer in the Office for the Arts. He currently lives in Canberra, working for the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.

Erica Bell
Co-Founder & CEO, Australia-Pacific Youth Dialogue

Since graduating in 2020, Erica has held a range of roles including Social Strategy and Outreach Manager for Women in Foreign Policy, Marketing Chief Strategist for the Organization for World Peace, and Digital Communications Officer for Young Australians in International Affairs. She also founded the Australia-Pacific Youth Dialogue, the premier youth association connecting emerging leaders across the Pacific Islands, Australia and New Zealand. Earlier this year, Erica commenced a new role as a Customer Strategy & Applied Design Graduate with Deloitte Digital and she is currently completing a Full Stack Development Program to build her skills in design.
