Deepening ties: Pakistan and Australia's growing alliance

Australia and Pakistan share a rich and evolving bond, highlighted by the growing interpersonal connections among their people. Through collaboration across various domains such as security - which covers areas like defense and police training - human rights advocacy, and initiatives for economic growth and reformation, the Australian Government underscores its commitment to this bilateral partnership.  

The University of Wollongong (UOW) is committed to the increasing cultural diversity that has greatly benefited Australia and UOW. The University is keen to build upon this rich tradition.

The UOW Vice-Chancellor's Leadership Scholarship-Pakistan is designed to not only provide academic opportunities but also to cultivate leadership qualities within recipients. Joining this program, scholars will be amidst a community of ambitious peers, all striving to effect positive transformation. 

The UOW Vice-Chancellor's Leadership Scholarship-Pakistan will challenge recipients to develop leadership potential alongside a network of like-minded students striving to create positive change.   

The scholarship will provide generous financial assistance, including 100% tuition fee waiver, leadership training, dedicated academic support, community networking, and global mobility opportunities. The recipients will be selected based on their academic achievement and leadership potential.

Selection Criteria

  • Applicant should be completing year 12 (or equivalent) in 2023 or the first half 2024;
  • Applicants must be 18 at the time of commencement of their UOW course;
  • Applicant should be applying through any authorised agent;
  • Applicant should be an Pakistani citizen with a valid Passport;
  • Applicant must have an offer to UOW;
  • Applicant should have one of the following:
    • 13 overall in the General Certificate of Education (GCE) A Levels; OR
    • 32 overall in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP); OR
    • 72 in the Cambridge Pre-University Diploma;
