What will I do?

The Students' Hub is a student-led initiative in a friendly and informal space with the basic premise of "advice from students for students". Ambassadors work informally with students sharing information about UOW services and programs and helping direct them to the support they need.


How will I benefit?

As a Students' Hub Ambassador you will develop:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as cultural sensitivity
  • A flexible and adaptable approach to teamwork and collaboration
  • Demonstrable problem-solving skills which can be applied in fast paced settings

Are there any special requirements for this role?

To apply for this role you must currently be enrolled as a student in an Undergraduate or Postgraduate degree at the University of Wollongong and will be enrolled in 2023.

Students from a diverse range of backgrounds and cultures are encouraged to apply.


Minimum requirements for UOWx recognition

To receive UOWx Recognition, you must complete the following:

  • An "engaged" student will need to complete a minimum 12 hours in a calendar year
  • A "highly engaged" student will need to complete 24 hours in a calendar year
