What will I do?

Student Representatives are paid ambassadors of the University of Wollongong who support student recruitment and marketing activities. These activities will be on an irregular, casual basis with shifts ranging from a few hours in the day, some at night and sometimes trips away. The hours that you will work will depend on demand, as well as your own availability and willingness to be involved.


How will I benefit?

You'll be trained in every aspect of UOW, every faculty, program and unit. Then you'll communicate this to UOW's future students.

Are there any special requirements for this role?

Yes.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
  • Enrolled in an undergraduate degree at UOW.
  • Hold a current driver’s license (obtaining Green P’s in 2023).
  • Currently have, or willing to obtain a paid NSW Working with Children Check.
  • Commitment to participate in a three-day training period on 11, 12 and 13 April; held at the UOW Wollongong campus.

Minimum requirements for UOWx recognition

To receive UOWx recognition, you must complete the following:

  • An 'engaged' student will need to complete a minimum of 20 hours within a calendar year
  • A 'highly engaged' student will need to complete a minimum of 60 hours within a calendar year
