Student Initiated Projects - Exhibition

Student Initiated Project - Exhibition

Activity overview

How is this program run?

This program is currently on hold.

What will I do?

The Student Initiated Project: Exhibition (SIP) is an opportunity for 1-2 students to curate an exhibition and self govern the project. They see the exhibition through from concept to reality, coordinating other student artists and managing all aspects of producing an exhibition.

How will I benefit?

Co-curricular activities can play a significant role in extending learning opportunities for students. In SIP Exhibition, students will gain the ability to successfully mount an exhibition from concept through to show. The project fosters excellent skills in critical analysis and in developing a creative concept. The emphasis is on skill sharing, with an expected outcome that all participating artists complete the process with the ability to mount an exhibition - vital to working as a practicing artist beyond graduation.

How do I apply?

SIP: Exhibition is open to second and third year BCA Visual Arts and Visual Arts & Design (VA & VAD) students. The TAEM website will advertise when proposals may be submitted, as well as a SOLs message to all students enrolled in these courses.

Are there any special requirements of the role?

Applicants must be currently enrolled in second or third year BCA Visual Arts and Visual Arts & Design (VA & VAD).
