Jobs on Campus

Activity overview

How is this program run?

This program is running online and in-person.

What will I do?

The Jobs on Campus (JOC) program is designed to connect you with on-campus employment opportunities and make you "application ready".

The JOC program prepares you for the process you will have to take to apply and secure work throughout your career, through a series of interactive in-person or online workshops, or pre-recorded workshops and activities.

The program is estimated to take approximately five hours.

The workshops and activities will cover:

  • How to write an effective resume and cover letter
  • How to address selection criteria
  • How to ace a job interview

After completing the workshops and activities, and a career chat with an Employability Officer, you will join the talent pool and gain exclusive access to roles ranging from hospitality, retail, administration, research and student program ambassadors.

How will I benefit?

Joining the JOC program will allow you to:

  • Develop a targeted resume and learn key skills required to sell your skills and experiences in written applications.
  • Increase your confidence and knowledge around the process of writing selection criteria and addressing statements of claim for key roles.
  • Develop your interview skills and practice your responses, giving you the best chance of securing your dream position.
  • Gain access to on-campus job opportunities only visible to students in the JOC talent pool.

The process is easy to follow and offers a simulated practice of the Australian recruitment process.
