FAQs

It's Go Time

It’s Go Time 2024 is a multi-week approach to orientation, categorised by multiple themes, that allows new students to be set up for success in their studies and student life. It's Go Time provides access to a range of activities and information sessions throughout the first few weeks of session and beyond.

It's Go Time is designed for new students. However, returning and continuing students are encouraged to attend the festival.

For more information about the different events, see 'What is It's Go Time?'.

It's Go Time will run for around 5 weeks. This multi-week approach allows students to pick and choose which resources, events, and activities they want to engage in, without the information overload that would happen with the usual one week of Orientation.

The 5-week schedule will include a range of themes designed to help you succeed at university, including Let's Go Respect, Live, Connect, Belong, Party, Succeed and Forward.

Registration and events

You will receive an It's Go Time invitation via email closer to the start of session. Within the email, click on the registration link and follow the prompts. Once you're registered, you can start adding all of your chosen events to your schedule.

It’s Go Time events will be offered in person and/or online. The delivery method of each event will be clearly identified in the event details description.

Yes, an important part of It’s Go Time is your faculty or campus orientation day!

Registering will ensure you receive important information in the lead up to your chosen event. Your registration allows us to ensure COVID safe room capacities are upheld and catering requirements are provided.

You’ll be learning lots of new things so you may want to bring something that will allow you to take notes. This may be a laptop or a pen and notebook.

Please bring a face mask. While they are not mandatory, they are encouraged for your safety.

There will be lots of free food on campus, and our on-campus food outlets will be open.

You should bring a bottle of water (we have re-fill stations located all over campus) as well as sunscreen and a hat.

Your orientation is an important event that will help with your transition into university, so we encourage you to attend if you're able.

If you discover you cannot make it in person, you will need to register for an online orientation so you can access recordings of critical sessions from orientation. Recordings will be become available from Thursday, 21st February, 2024.
