UOW academic will lead stem cell research on Friedreich's ataxia
Associate Professor Mirella Dottori has received a US$250,000 grant from Friedreich's Ataxia Research Alliance (FARA) to use stem cell-based models to examine how the human sensory nervous system is developmentally impaired in Friedreich's ataxia (FRDA) that currently has no cure and shortens life expectancy within early adulthood.Read more about Associate Professor Dottori's research
