Nadia Neal

Nadia Neal is a proud Wodi Wodi woman from here in the Illawarra born and was raised on Yuin Country. She has background in Public Health and Education, completing two degrees at the University of Wollongong and is currently undertaking a Doctorate of Philosophy.

Over the years, Nadia has gone between the two professions of health and education, conducting research and programs within Aboriginal communities to achieve better health outcomes and educational opportunities. Whilst it has been challenging navigating a western patriarchal system as a young female Aboriginal academic, Nadia has found that the Aboriginal community here at UOW is both resilient and empowered, and is excited to see the positive changes that we will bring about here at UOW in the coming years.
