Literacy and Numeracy Test for Initial Teacher Education Students

All initial teacher education students must pass the Literacy and Numeracy Test for Initial Teacher Education Students (LANTITE) before they can commence their final professional experience. This is a NSW Government mandated requirement.

When to take the Test

The School of Education recommends taking the Test:

Bachelor of Primary Education Spring Session in 2nd year
Bachelor of Mathematics Education Spring Session in 2nd year
Bachelor of Health and Physical Education Autumn Session in 3rd year
Bachelor of Science Education Spring Session in 2nd year
Master of Teaching Spring Session in 1st year

Students should take the Test early to ensure it is completed well before their final professional experience.

Taking the Test

The Test runs during certain windows of time throughout the year.

Students must register to take the Test during one of these times.
