The virtual joint conference on Australia-India Cooperative Responses to Maritime Security Challenges in the Indo-Pacific Region is offered jointly by the JSIA (at Jindal Global University) and ANCORS (at the University of Wollongong). It leverages some of the expertise of both institutions and launches an exploration of academic collaboration on Indian Ocean-related matters between them,
with the intention of deepening ongoing collaboration into the future.

The first session of the conference will examine Maritime security in the context of extant regional maritime security threats in the Indo-Pacific region, with a focus on the shipping, trade and geopolitical challenges. The second session will examine Maritime ecology, with a focus on environmental pollution and marine crime.
