This talk will highlight how tryptophan metabolism may contribute to neuropsychiatric events and neurodegenerative disorders from prenatal to the aging brain. This talk will also briefly discuss how inflammation, lifestyle factors, and gut microbiota can interact and affects hosts’ tryptophan metabolism that can impact the outcomes of various neuropsychiatric symptoms.
