Ownership of Work & Intellectual Property9.1 The University reserves the right to retain, at its discretion, the original or one copy of any work submitted for assessment in a course, competition or a subject, other than a research subject, conducted by the University. 9.2 Ownership of intellectual property vested in the work will be determined in accordance with the University's Intellectual Property Policy and the University's Student Assignment of Intellectual Property Policy. 9.3 A candidate retains copyright over a thesis submitted for assessment in a subject or for an award, subject to the requirements prescribed in Rules 10.40-10.49 inclusive (procedures governing the preparation of thesis for submission).
