We are located in Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT City) in Gandhinagar, Gujarat - India’s first operational smart city and International Financial Services Centre (IFSC). Open since November 2024, UOW India is the newest international campus of the University of Wollongong (UOW), Australia, joining our established network of globally located campuses in Dubai, Hong Kong and Malaysia, and our presence in China and Singapore.

UOW India offers three financial technology courses in India at our GIFT City campus: the Graduate Certificate in Financial Technology (6 months full-time), the Master of Financial Technology (1.5 years) and the Master of Financial Technology Extension (2 years), with part-time options for working professionals. 

A UOW fintech degree is backed by serious credentials: UOW is ranked among the top 200 universities in the world for Accounting and Finance (QS 2024) and is AACSB-accredited, placing us among the top 6 per cent of business schools globally. You’ll study blockchain, tokenised assets and decentralised finance (DeFi), machine learning and AI, FinTech applications in banking and insurance, and ethics and regulation in FinTech - with industry training pathways through our IBM partnership.

Yes. The Bachelor of Business (Finance and Business Analytics) is UOW India’s three-year undergraduate degree - a globally recognised Australian business qualification you can earn in India, and an ideal business course after 12th for students aiming at careers where business, finance and technology meet. 

You’ll choose a major in Finance or Business Analytics, learning corporate finance, investment analysis, sustainable finance, big data analytics and data-driven decision-making, and finish with an industry capstone project. The degree is taught by an AACSB-accredited business school ranked in the top 6 per cent globally, with industry-sponsored projects and internship partnerships - including with IBM. 

Graduates are prepared for roles such as business analyst, consultant, operations manager and entrepreneur - and eligible students receive credit into the Master of Financial Technology, creating a seamless bachelor-to-masters pathway at UOW India.

Undergraduate (Bachelor of Business): completion of 12 years of schooling (Year 12 / CBSE / equivalent) or competitive exam scores such as CAT or JEE, plus a satisfactory English language result (e.g. IELTS Academic 6.0 or TOEFL iBT 79). 

Postgraduate (Masters and Graduate Certificates): a recognised bachelor degree - masters programs typically require a 50%+ average - or, for graduate certificates, relevant tertiary study combined with professional experience, plus a satisfactory English language result (IELTS 6.0–6.5 depending on program).

FinTech isn't one job - it's an entire ecosystem, and UOW India prepares you for both all three sides of it: the commercial side (UPI, GPay, Razorpay, PayTM, product strategy, wealthtech, and the broader NBFI and related technology companies), the adaptation side of it (various industry sectors that use FinTech including Wealthtech, CapTech, BFSI, NBFI, Domestic and International Stock Markets and beyond) and the regulatory side (economic policy at authorities like IFSCA, headquartered right here in GIFT City, Ministry of Finance, State Governments, industry bodies and internationalisation of the technology). Our students intern in roles with real responsibility - from designing product flows at FinTech firms to researching policy at India's financial regulator - often within weeks of starting.

Yes - UOW India offers a generous range of scholarships for both undergraduate and postgraduate students, with awards of up to 50% off tuition fees. These include Merit and High-Achiever Scholarships, an Early Bird Scholarship for early applicants, and the Women Leaders in FinTech, Data Analytics & AI Scholarship, which awards 50% off tuition for the entire course duration.

Classes take place at our GIFT City campus, where you learn face-to-face with academics and classmates. Online learning is integrated into every subject, so your time on campus focuses on practical skills, collaboration and building your professional network. 

Timetables are published before each session begins, and enrolled students are notified as soon as class times are available to view online - showing which subjects run in each session and how each subject is structured, so you can plan study around your life.
