Field Trips/Off-Campus Placements

Off-Campus Activities and Student Safety

Students may be required to participate in field trips or other compulsory, off-campus, course-related activities such as practicums and work placements. In such situations students and staff are required to be aware of and accept their responsibilities with regard to personal conduct and health and safety issues.

  • Field Activity Guidelines
    sets out the responsibilities of both students and staff involved in planning and undertaking off-campus activities.
  • Code of Practice - Practical Placements
    This code sets out the rights and responsibilities of students, supervisors and the University with regard to practical placements.
  • Student Personal Accident Insurance
    Provides information about personal injury insurance coverage for students undertaking approved, University based activities off site.
  • Health & Safety
    Provides access to the University's full range of health and safety policies and guidelines.
