An honours degree gives you a great opportunity to explore a topic of interest in depth. It’s a bridge between undergraduate classes and future research opportunities, whether in academia or other research-based vocations. An Honours project consolidates and extends what has been learned in the first few years of university study – conceptual understanding of a specific discipline of course, but also highly transferable skills in negotiation, organization, information searching, critical analysis of evidence, argumentation and formal presentation in speech and writing.
