New CityRail Timetable
A new CityRail timetable will be introduced on 4 September 2005. RailCorp has advised the new timetable will reflect safer running times and improve the reliability of Sydney’s metropolitan train services.
You are encouraged to review the timetable to ensure you become familiar with the changes to train times in your area. There may be changes to train departure and arrival times, which may in turn impact bus connection times. This means you may need to review your bus timetable to check for good connections.
The new timetable will apply to all lines with the exception of the Eastern Suburbs, Illawarra and South Coast lines. New timetables for these lines are proposed for early 2006 following the completion of the new Bondi Junction Turnback, which is part of the NSW Government’s $1 billion Clearways plan to further improve reliability and increase the capacity of Sydney’s rail network.
Copies of the new timetable, along with brochures outlining the changes on a line-by-line basis will be available at stations from the middle of August 2005.
The new timetable can be viewed at the below link.
