Travel and Volunteer this Summer
UOW students are invited to meet ISV Student Representatives from Wollongong University who wish to share their incredible volunteer and travel experience with you. If you are interested in having an amazing adventure this summer with International Student Volunteers, this is a great chance to ask any questions you may have about the program and talk to people who have travelled.
Meetings details: Thursday May 13th Building 20 – LT2 (Next to the Library) 12.30pm & 1.30pm
International Student Volunteers (ISV) allows students to travel and volunteer in Costa Rica, New Zealand and Thailand. You can choose to focus your efforts on community development or conservation, giving unparalleled insight into foreign cultures. Many students will also be eligible to receive academic credit for their participation in the ISV program. ISV’s projects include sea turtle conservation in Costa Rica, habitat restoration in New Zealand and teaching children in Thailand. Don’t forget about the incredible adventure tour after your project where we will show you the best adrenaline based activities in your host country.
International volunteering is the perfect way to broaden your horizons and set yourself apart when being considered for future employment. There is no substitute for hands-on international experience, particularly if it is within your area of study. There is no describing the memories you will make, the lessons you will learn and the friendships you will share!
If you are interested in making a difference this summer please visit www.isvonline.org and submit a non-committal application.
