Free bike training for UoW students

**Would you like to or Do you ride a bike to Unversity, for fitness or just for fun? **
The UOW would like to invite interested students to take part in a Bike Road Safety and Skill Improvement course conducted on campus over four Saturdays commencing 9th March
Training is provided through AustCycle - a government-backed initiative offering quality cycling training around Australia.
By gaining the confidence to ride to Uni or around your local area, you can:
- save money on petrol and vehicle costs
- improve your overall health and well being
- reduce your ecological footprint
- help to reduce traffic congestion and parking difficulties.

You will benefit from this course if you:
- If you haven't ever ridden a bike and would like to.
- haven’t ridden a bike for a while and don’t have much confidence
- ride now and again but wouldn’t be comfortable riding on the road
- ride regularly but would like to improve your skills for commuting.

Course details:
DATES: Saturdays 9th, 16th, 23rd, 30th, March 2009
TIMES: 9 am to 12 pm
VENUE: UOW Wollongong Campus - Western Carpark
COST: No cost to UOW Students
Skill levels of all participants will be assessed at the beginning of the training session and training tailored to your individual needs. It is best to bring your own bicycle but let the training provider know if you are unable to bring one.
