Free Lecture
To All Staff and Students You are all invited and encouraged to attend the next presentation of the UOW Cares Speaker Spotlight Sessions, on Thursday 21st October in Building 20 Lecture Room 3 from 12:30-1:30pm. Monica Richter, Sustainable Australia Program Manager for Australian Conservation Foundation will be presenting - ‘Making our cities more liveable and sustainable. The Sustainable Australia program looks at how we create more sustainable, liveable communities including the importance of investing in better public and active transport, improving the energy and water efficiency of our existing homes and workplaces, and the importance of cleaning up our motor vehicle fleet. Monica will talk about her advocacy role and why community engagement in how our cities are designed and managed is really important for all of us today. This lunchtime lecture series showcases some of the UOW Cares charities, their work and programs. (Bring your own lunch.)
