Driving to UOW
As you know road congestion and parking will be at their worst in the first weeks of session, starting Monday If you are driving please be aware .... Security and RTA Traffic controllers will be on duty to guide and assist drivers. You must follow their directions – they are there to help the traffic flow and reduce the chance of potentially fatal crashes on the Freeway – not to follow their directions may cause dangerous traffic conditions for others and contravene the law. You may wish to adjust your travelling time or use alternative transport routes or modes to avoid delays. If you have ever considered trying one of the free shuttles, or another form of public transport, cycling or walking, this would be a good time to give it a go. UOW and government bodies are doing a great deal to improve public transport. Three free shuttle services are available to help you commute, ticket prices for bus and train services are the cheapest they’ve been, and UOW is further improving cycling facilities with secure parking, showers and lockers. See the new “Getting to UOW” web site www.uow.edu.au/transport for maps, timetables, prices and tips on getting to UOW From Your Suburb Or have you considered registering to carpool, so you can share your costs get free parking and help the environment? www.uow.edu.au/parking/students/UOW002245.html I hope these are helpful to you.
