Harsh Thakrar is an academic and investment professional with over a decade of experience across capital markets, financial technology, and higher education. His teaching and research span portfolio risk management, ESG investing, macroeconomic analysis, and FinTech-driven financial transformation, with publications in ABDC-listed journals and thought pieces in The Times of India, Mint, and the Free Press Journal. He has spoken at major forums including the Global FinTech Fest, Singapore FinTech Festival, and India Digital Summit, and has delivered corporate training in investment decision-making and portfolio analytics. As Director of Investments at Leonem Advisory (P) Limited, he leads investment strategy, derivative portfolio oversight, and risk management, building on prior roles at Kotak Mahindra Bank, JM Financial, Dun & Bradstreet, and RSM India. Previously, as Program Chairperson and Assistant Professor at NMIMS University, Mumbai, he launched the BBA (FinTech) curriculum and fostered academic–industry collaborations. He has spearheaded international initiatives, including a British Council-funded partnership with the University of Bristol, and has organized multi-stakeholder forums on ESG, financial inclusion, and FinTech innovation. At the University of Wollongong India campus, he contributes to interdisciplinary research, FinTech education, and industry-linked academic development aligned with the University’s future-focused vision.
