Practice of Learning Development

Learning Development works towards the continuing synthesis of teaching, governance, professional development and research as they relate to improving and facilitating student learning, academic literacy and English language. This is achieved through:

• Working with students to identify learning issues and assist them in their negotiation of academic literacies, language and learning.
• Collaborating with faculty to enhance student learning and the development of academic literacies.
• Working across the University to link individual learning issues with the wider teaching and learning policies.

The dialogue, direct observation, teaching and research that LD engages in across the various campuses and learning contexts of the University feed into the development of a wide range of instructional resources and modes of professional advice.
