The Student Success Hub is a welcoming place, where you can share your experiences, seek support and connect with other students. Drop in and say hi to our team of Student Success Mentors, who can help you find opportunities, services and support, so you can make the most of your time at UOW.

How Student Success Mentors can help

Our friendly Student Success Mentors are senior university students who know the university ropes. They can help you by:

  • Listening to your university experiences and helping you settle in
  • Explaining how to navigate the university campus and online systems 
  • Setting up connections with fellow students in your degree 
  • Sharing tips and tricks for succeeding at university

They can also help you to get to know what is available to support your success at university and help you access a wide range of services at UOW, including: 

  • Study support
  • Wellbeing support
  • Indigenous student support
  • International student support
  • Student Accessibility and Inclusion (SA&I)
  • Careers and Employability, including UOWx
  • Social and extra-curricular activities
  • Peer study programs, such as Peer Assisted Study Sessions (PASS) and Peer Learning Coaching (PLC)

If you have a question and you are not sure who to ask, chat with one of the Student Success Mentors. If they can’t answer your question, they will be able to tell you who to speak with.  

Using the space

All students are free to use the Student Success Hub at any time. Come and study, hang out with friends, grab something from our Lending Library, or host a meeting.  

There are casual seating areas, open conferencing area, and private consult rooms available. 

Certain spaces may be booked for groups or events; please come and chat to us, or send us a message with your request, and we will try and accommodate your needs!
