Withdrawal from the Ceremony
Changing your Attendance
After you have submitted your graduation application you can change your attendance option from not attending to attending, or from attending to not attending.
Please note: July and December Graduation ceremonies are held at the Wollongong campus. Students from campuses other than Wollongong who do not wish to attend the Wollongong ceremony should select "Not Attending Graduation Ceremony" when applying to graduate.
If you change your attendance option from attending to not attending you can receive your degree/award in absentia (i.e. in your absence). You can choose one of the following testamur mailing/collection options:
- have your testamur posted out to you by registered mail/international courier
- collect your testamur from Student Central on one of the nominated collection days
- nominate a third party to collect it on one of the nominated collection days
Please note: posting charges apply if returned mail needs to be redirected to an alternative address.
If you wish to change your attendance DO NOT withdraw your graduation application. To change your attendance logon to SOLS and select 'Graduation Application', select 'Review' to take you to the 'Graduation Application - Graduation Summary' screen, and then select 'Change Attendance' and change your attendance as required.
The last day to change your attendance is Friday 27 November 2009.
Deferring your Graduation
If you wish to defer your graduation and attend a future ceremony you must withdraw your application and re-apply for graduation in the future. Graduation ceremonies are scheduled at the end of Spring and Autumn sessions each year.
Please refer to the 'Withdrawing from Graduation' information below to find out how to withdraw your graduation application.
The last day to withdraw your application is Friday 27 November 2009.
Withdrawing from Graduation
If you no longer wish to graduate you must withdraw your graduation application. By withdrawing your application you will NOT graduate, and will NOT receive a testamur. You will need to re-apply for a future graduation ceremony. Graduation ceremonies are scheduled at the end of Spring and Autumn sessions each year.
If you wish to withdraw from the ceremony logon to SOLS and select 'Graduation Application', select 'Review' to take you to the 'Graduation Application - Graduation Summary' screen, and then select 'Withdraw Application'.
The last day to withdraw your application is Friday 27 November 2009. After this date we cannot remove your name from the printed graduation program. If you miss this deadline your degree/diploma will be conferred/awarded in absentia in the ceremony for which you were scheduled. If this happens, you will not be able to graduate at another ceremony, as your degree/award can only be conferred/awarded once.
