 and Tayla. Toni was diagnosed with breast cancer on Christmas Eve last year and was forced to undergo a double mastectomy the day after she completed her degree last month. Despite her doctor and many others telling her she would be unable to finish her degree, Toni fought the odds and now plans to become a special needs teacher after 15 years of helping parents with children who have disabilities and having her own child, Macenzi, who has cerebral palsy.'))

 received an Honorary Doctor of Science degree and delivered the Occasional Address at ceremony one on Monday 12 December. Dame Bridget Ogilvie is a scientist of international standing who had a major role in the discovery of the presence of an enzyme in sheep and cattle that may lead to the eventual control of nematode parasites. Although she has spent most of her professional life overseas, she has family and property ties to the Wollongong region. She is pictured with the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Gerard Sutton and the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research) Professor Margaret Sheil.'))

Throughout his career at Wollongong Hospital and later Southern Pathology, Mr Crozier has developed a formidable national and international reputation as a leading expert in medical mycology.
