Formalities
If you’re a Year 12 student applying for an undergraduate place, you will apply through the Universities Admissions Centre (UAC).
UAC provides all HSC students with application information and guides outlining the minimum Australian Tertiary Admissions Rank (ATAR) score needed to qualify for each degree. If you go to school interstate, you should contact your local Tertiary Admissions Centre so application material can be posted to you.
Some courses have additional application criteria so you may also need to submit an additional application form to UOW or attend an interview or audition.
Early bird
If you do well in your trial HSC, you may be offered a place at UOW before you even sit your HSC exams. Check out our Early Entry program.
Bonuses
You may be eligible for extra points through our Points to UOW or Bonus Points programs.
Alternative entry and Special Access Schemes
Wollongong College Australia offers university preparation programs that, when completed successfully, guarantee entry to UOW.
If you have experienced disadvantage in Years 11 and/or 12 there are a number of Special Access Schemes.
