Overview
In 2010 The Manor will be available to meet the living needs of single higher degree research (HDR) and post graduate students. The Manor will be a small, premium quality residence that provides a unique living experience to nine HDR students and will be managed by International House.
Located across the road from North Wollongong train station, students living @ the manor can make the most of the convenient location. The free shuttle bus to the main campus stops across the road, and the beach and Wollongong are nearby. International House is a short walk from The Manor.
Culture and Style of The Manor –
The Manor will be a small community that is designed to meet the living needs of higher degree and post graduate students. The modern facilities will include large bedrooms, new kitchen and cooking facilities and a communal area that is conducive to study and socialising. Internet access will be available in all rooms.
Students will have access to all of the programs and facilities at nearby International House including the award winning iLive program and meals in the dining room. Students will be able to participate in as many or as little programs as they choose. A mutual benefit for students living @ the manor and students living @ international house will be joint initiatives and activities between students from both residences.
