Rooms & Amenities

Housing 218 residents, International House consists of mainly single dormitory style rooms, with several shared rooms also available. Rooms are furnished with single beds, desks, chairs, wardrobes, and book shelves and all rooms are fitted with internet and phone connections.

International House offers a variety of recreational areas and activities including table tennis, snooker table, basketball courts, outdoor chess, Pay TV and DVD equipment, music rooms, computer and printing laboratories, and a library. Planning for an art studio is underway.

Catering:

Fully catered, International House offers students 19 meals per week which can be enjoyed in the dining room or the newly renovated comfort of "The Courtyard": al-fresco style dining, with sun sails and outdoor cooking. Meals are served Monday to Friday including breakfast, "make your own" lunch to take to uni and dinner. On weekends brunch and an evening meal is served.

A wide range of food is available and all dietary requirements can be catered for. Food can be tailored to suit diverse cultural tastes, and students can request an individual meeting with the Chef Manager. Special theme nights are held such as iFeast or Thai food nights and where possible, produce is used from the International House vege patch.

Small kitchenettes with a fridge, stove and microwave are also available for people who wish to cook for themselves outside of these times or prepare snacks.
