I Feast at I House

I Feast, held recently at International House, is a celebration of food, culture and people from the different nations represented at International House.  Students cook their national cuisine for all to enjoy and the enthusiasm this year was fantastic.

Cooking commenced early Sunday morning from 9am with the enthusiasm continuing throughout the day.  The doors opened for over 200 students at 6.15pm.  Staff and students feasted on Chinese dumplings, Arabic rolls, Indian curries, Danish apple pie, Boston Tea cake, Iranian meatballs and Austrian Sauerkraut.

“We had 14 different stalls representing different nations and they each provided a minimum of 2 different dishes.  This event is held every year at I House and this year was the best I Feast to date.  A feast was truly had!” said Alison Hemsley, Student Residence Manager, International House.
