The Future of Rights Centre (FoRC) brings together humanities and social science researchers interested in exploring how past and present understandings of rights at the global, Asia-Pacific, and local levels will help to inform the future.
We explore human rights, animals, and environmental justice through both historical and contemporary lenses, focusing on a range of issues including development, forced migration and conflict, labour rights, and sex, gender, and sexualities. Informed by and engaging critically with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals, we are committed to collaborative, interdisciplinary, activist, and community-engaged research.
