The Safe and Respectful Communities team are here to help. We care about your wellbeing and will provide support with a compassionate, trauma-informed and support focussed approach.

The team are available 9 am – 4.30 pm, Monday to Friday and are on standby to respond to emergencies 24/7.

Emergency assistance

If you are in need of urgent help or believe your life is being threatened please call Triple Zero (000).

UOW Security is also on hand 24 hours a day 7 days a week to provide assistance, first aid and security escorts. You can call or request their services via the SafeZone app or by phone on (02) 4221 4900.

What happens when you contact SARC?

Our trained staff will talk to you confidentially about what has happened. We will listen to you, believe you and talk to you about your options.

We can connect you with support services, and assist you to manage the impacts on your studies.

We can provide information to help you decide if you want to make a formal report to the university about what has happened. You may also decide to report the matter to the police - we can help you to do that too.

Be assured, we will keep you informed and support you every step of the way.
